Gentle: Yoga from Home

Students will be working on mindfulness & its use to create a yoga practice that promotes the release of stresses related to tension in the tissues. This class also promotes mobility, flexibility, stabilization of joints and bones by use of props.

Perfect for those new to yoga or who hold a current yoga practice but wish to explore the benefits of a Gentle Yin or restorative/ paired with moments strength from a gentle yang yoga practice. The practice includes and encompasses static holds to reduce fatigue and stress in the body. Followed by slow flowing movements increasing blood flow then returning back to static posture. This process supports a release of stress in the body creating changes structurally by continually working with deep tissues. My hope is that this practice will support a healthy body and its return back to optimum health.

Yin-Meditation: Yoga From Home

Combining the elements of Mindfulness (conscious awareness), Yin yoga & (the quiet state) of Restorative.
Mindfulness- To be fully aware & invested in what is.
Watching every thought arise, whether it be a worry, fear, anxiety, joy or peace, but just merely watching the process. Through the awareness of mind, one gains a deeper knowledge of ones self. In this space without the need to ignore or suppress simply note what is happening & remain calm using breathing as an anchor.

Yin Yoga-A practice that requires an internal examination at all times. What is happening? What am feeling?

Restorative yoga- Keeping a quiet relaxed state while using yoga posture.The practice promotes and stimulates flow of oxygen and blood, creating hormonal balance, counteracting fatigue, promoting healthy digestion, strengthening lung & heart muscles.

Perfect for those new to yoga or who hold a current yoga practice but wish to explore the benefits of a Yin / sometimes moments of Yang yoga practice. The practice includes and encompasses long held, static stresses of deep connective tissues allowing them to be remodeled to reduce fatigue and stress in the body. Followed by slow flowing movements increasing blood flow then returning back to static posture. This process supports a release of stress in the body creating changes structurally by continually working with deep tissues. My hope is that this practice will support a healthy body and its return back to optimum health.

Relax and Restore: Yoga From Home 

Class description: This class combines elements from Yin Yang, Restorative and Gentle yoga. Working with joint mobility, postural alignment, static holds and playful movements that welcome muscular massage, and joyful investigation.
Incorporating a variety of yoga postures to promote and stimulate flow of oxygen and blood, support physical balance, hormonal balance, counteract fatigue, promotes healthy digestion, strengthen lung & heart muscles. Students will be working on  mobility, flexibility, proper alignment, stabilization of joints and bones. Use of props. 
 
Perfect for new students and those looking to end the day with less tension, more relaxation and calmness. 
Also, perfect for those new to yoga or who hold a current yoga practice but wish to explore the benefits of a more gentle yoga practice. This class will benefit those wishing to counteract the effects of Osteoporeosis, arthritic joints, surgery, limited mobility, back pain, fatigue and stress.

Restorative Sleep: Yoga From Home 

This class is designed to promote body awareness, a deeper sense of calmness, and restoration to the body.  While working with props, gentle movements held in a passive relaxed state to restore, and recondition the various forms of muscle and connective tissue we use the practice of pranayama ( "prana" & "yama"), life force, life energy,  or the mastery of life force to stimulate the nervous system & revitalize the body.

Vinyasa: Developing an Ashtanga practice (Yoga From Home)

L1-2 This practice is best suitable for those who currently hold a yoga practice and want to explore the deeper elements of flow and alignment.

An informal approach to Ashtanga and Yin/ Vinyasa
This class is similar to a Vinyasa style class where postures and breath are sequenced in an artful way to deliver a transformative experience. *Ashtanga Vinyasa/ Yin differs from traditional Vinyasa in that it involves a moderately active flow class, paired with slower longer holds. Exploring the range of traditional *Primary and *Secondary poses often incorporating elements of Yin and Yang into the postures. This practice addresses the body’s connective tissue, joints and muscles while optimizing the physical benefits by stimulating prana. The usage of breathe throughout the practice helps to develop efficiency and breath capacity. The practice is designed to deepen the awareness of ones practice, awaken the senses and strengthen ones focus and concentration. Please note this class is for experienced yoga practitioners, preferably those holding a regular weekly practice.

YOGA Mindful Flow: Yoga From Home 

Mindful Flow/ Vinyasa L1 perfect for beginners
(slower flow vinyasa/ Hatha practice)
 
The focus of Mindful Vinyasa is to create space within the practice so that students can find an awareness of breath, both muscular & energetic along with potential mind attachment/emotional aspects within each pose. This class combines the key components of  Vinyasa yoga with time to explore the connection to mind-body and the potential things that may surface in the exploration. 
 
This class is focused on opening the breath, and a series of Vinyasas to strengthen and open the heart, shoulders and hips. Its the perfect Vinyasa to get you ready to reset and clear your mind from a long day!

Vinyasa : Yoga from Home

Vinyasa Most often described as a combination of breath and asana (posture). This practice unfolds smooth long breaths and steady movements with an intelligent organization of postures sequenced in the form of Vinyasa meaning "nyasa" to place and "vi" in a special way. Students will set an intention that reflects inner spaciousness and non attachment, practicing Surya Namaskara (sun salutation), and other sequential asana (yogic postures)  in a flowing manner to create a moving meditation.
